NEW AT PULP'S ART: MAY 21

NEW THIS WEEK:
THE ART OF KUNG FU PANDA 2 by Tracey Miller-Zarneke
The original Kung Fu Panda film wasn't just funny but was also utterly gorgeous which probably explains why the original Art of book has sold through two printings. This art book for its sequel is just as visually sumptuous with beautifully rendered scenery and settings, a host of new characters joining the established cast and dynamic storyboard sequences.
Insight Editions
HC, 156 pages

THE SINISTER SKETCHBOOK by Mike Hoffman
SC, 100 pages black + white
Ever since Frank Frazetta burst onto the scene, every artist working in the field of heroic fantasy has had to wrestle with the degree to which this colossus would influence their work. Mike Hoffman has just given himself over to the power, vitality and sensuality of Frank's vision. There could only ever be one Frank Frazetta, but if you're looking for an artist with the same sort of lead in his pencil, then you'll enjoy Mike's studies of buxom women, muscular heroes and hideous monsters.

(It goes without saying that we stock all the Frazetta books currently in print, as well as occasionally offering rare out-of-print volumes.)
